I know, I know…I am well behind with my little updates on Magnus…very slack of me! Magnus is now just over 3 months old and totally thriving!
The latest weight and height stats: 6.74kg (50th percentile) and 66cm long (75th percentile). So he is growing nicely!
As you can see below, Magnus now has a Jolly Jumper and just loves jumping around. He is a very active little baby. He is still rolling tummy to back and has rolled back to tummy just once. Fortunately he hasn’t put it all together yet!
While on his tummy he gets his knees underneath him and has his legs going like crazy trying to move – but isn’t quite moving yet. Thankgoodness as he shouldn’t crawl until at least 6months. He bats and kicks away merrily at his toys in the play gym and can now grab toys with two hands. As soon as he gets hold of something it usually goes straight to the mouth, as all babies do. Dad likes to give him a nice hard rattle that sounds great but Magnus usually hits himself in the face with it… so Mum takes it off him! (Mum to the rescue)
Magnus had his first plane trip last week when we went to Auckland for Keryn’s work – the opening of Zeal in Waitakere City. We also got to visit Auntie Rebe and Uncle Matt which was great. Magnus was a good little boy on the plane and sleeping in strange cots, didn’t seemed phased at all. But by the end of the third day he was over being out and about and was glad to be home.
Magnus is still in a great sleeping pattern with lots of long naps through the day and he sleeps through the night most nights. Dad says he is a big boy now and has to sleep in his own room so we moved him on Monday night. This was harder for Mum than it was for bubs. He has well outgrown the bassinette so we’re transfering him to the cot this week also.
Of course he’s not the dream baby all the time…he has a great loud scream which comes out now and then – usually when we are trying to dress him, getting into the car seat and when he’s tired and wants to be in his bed. The screams don’t last for too long and Mum and Dad are good at just smiling at his protesting.
Check out the photos of our gorgeous wee bubs.
